Ugh. I agree, this is horrible. Unfortunately the same thing happened to one of my students in NYC (although it wasn’t a legal issue, just a sad convenience issue). I hate that the laws reflects poorly on Austin because I think it is such a great city and (although this makes me a disloyal native Texas) wholly unlike the rest of the state.
This is what what happens when a country loses it’s morality. Bottom line: Save sex, not safe sex.
