Aleks Krotoski and I edited this special issue of Learning Media  & Technology on the topic of Learning and Research in Virtual Worlds.  We were both completing our Ph.D. at the time, so it took a bit longer than we thought it would, but it came out great!   This is related to our Learning and Research in Second Life workshops, which are still going on today.
