Proving Who I Am

Proving Who I Am:
Valentin Groebner, Who Are You? Identification, Deception, and Surveillance in Early Modern Europe, translated by Mark Kyburz and John Peck (New York: Zone books, 2007) is about the “histories and prehistories of identification and its documentation” (p. 8).

this looks like it could be a great book to read for those interested in the histories of identification.
